1 Year of Scarlett

It’s official. The color wheel is complete. All 12 colors have been filled in- meaning all 12 beautiful months have come and gone. 12 wonderful months filled with loving our sweet Scarlett Magnolia Bardot.

Scarlett turned 1 on August 2nd and I am just now typing up this blog post… You have no idea how hard it was to type this! My last monthly update for my BABY. It is true when people say “The days are long but the years are short”. Of course, right when we brought Scarlett home for the first time we thought to ourselves “how are we supposed to do this??? They just let us walk out the door with this baby and now we are responsible for her?!” And now that a full year has past we are constantly wondering where the time went!

We have been so blessed to watch her grow so big, and strong, and smart and kind over these past 12 months. I still pinch myself every day! I am so damn proud to be her mama! More proud of that than any other single thing in my life.

I find myself in shock that I have only known her for a year now. I truly can say that I feel that she has always been a part of me. This year I have learned to love in a way I never even fathomed. I have learned to slow down and appreciate all the little moments and all the little things. Scarlett has added so much more color into my life than I ever thought possible. And for all of this, I will never be able to thank her enough.

ALL ABOUT SCARLETT

PERSONALITY – At 1 year, Scarlett is such a SWEET soul. She loves HARD! She smiles at EVERYONE! She is so easy-going! I cannot stress enough what a good baby she has been! She definitely is a sassy little thing, but I have NO idea how we got so lucky with such an independent, yet people-loving little girl! Especially since she is technically a “pandemic baby”!
DEMEANOR – Scarlett definitely has an outgoing personality and LOVES to meet new people! But when it comes to doing things on her own she is definitely more hesitant and cautious. She very much wants to be sure with herself and make sure she is safe when trying new things. She also is VERY detail oriented and focused on all the small things. It is so fun to watch her explore the world in the way she likes!
