DIY DreamWorks Costume

Since we had such a great time with our PIXAR costume, I thought it would be cool to create another animation company inspired DIY! This time, we are celebrating DreamWorks! I always thought that iconic little boy sitting on the moon fishing for the stars was so adorable! And when I found out my sister was coming home from Halloween this year, I just knew I had to make it for her to wear!

This costume is honestly too simple to make and can be thrown together in about 30 mins flat! So, if you have any last-minute Halloween plans, this is a great go-to!!

DreamWorks Costume

Supplies:
– Dowel Rod
– White String
– White Foam Board
– Cardboard Box
– Short White Wig
– White Pants
– White Shirt
– White Paint
– Paintbrush
– Hot Glue Gun/Glue Sticks
– Duct Tape

Instructions:
1.) Paint your dowel rod white. Once completely dry, wrap, tie and glue your string to the tip of the dowel rod. Your string should be about 1 1/2′ to 2′ long.
2.) Cut a star shape from your white foam board. Glue the star to the end of the string, opposite the dowel rod.
3.) Cut out a crescent moon shape from your cardboard box. This moon has got to be quite large. So if you do not have a large enough box, divide the moon between two boxes (half will be cut from one box, the other half from the other box). Reinforce the back of the moon with scrap pieces of cardboard and duct tape to make sure it is sturdy. Paint the front of the moon white. Allow time to dry.
4.) Pick out a full white outfit, including short wig.
5.) Tape your moon to the front of a chair, and sit on the chair with your legs propped up on the lower part of the moon with your fishing pole and that’s it!
