This coming Monday, (September 23rd) marks Ian’s and my 2 year anniversary! What can I say, time really does fly by when you are having fun! Last year I told you all about my plan to make a “traditional wedding gift” cake for each year we are married. Check out the theme of this cake!

I have always thought it would be fun to try to keep up with the “traditional wedding gifts by year” for each anniversary. Although, I am not a huge fan of getting gifts for anniversaries (presence over presents, y’all!) I thought it is always fun to enjoy a treat together! So, I vowed that each year I would make a cake for us to share based on the “traditional gift” theme of the year!
The traditional gift for 2 years of marriage is cotton! So naturally, I knew I needed to do a cotton candy themed cake! And even though my original plans for this cake fell through (I messed up on the first layer) I tried to salvage the idea and opted for a little mini bundt cake for us to share!

I wanted to do the traditional cotton candy baby blue and pastel pink colors for this cake, so I made a matching #2 to top it off with!
You would not believe the trouble I had finding cotton candy for this cake! I went to multiple grocery stores and convenient stores and there was nothing! Where is cotton candy when you need it?! I ended up having to order it off Amazon! Amazon is always there to save the day!

I am still in disbelief that we have been married 2 years! What can I say, life is pretty sweet being married! 😉 Here is to 2 years down and many more years to come, and cakes to eat!
