Fall is so close I can almost taste it! Here in Cincinnati, temps and humidity have gone down and it just makes me so ready for fall fashion! The temperature changes are actually what inspired this post! I was looking through my closet to see what fall pieces I had when I noticed that I really did not have a whole lot of long sleeve tops (I tend to wear short-sleeve all year round). Due to the fact that I lack long sleeved tops (and the fact that I need to remind myself that I DO NOT have to buy more) I thought it would be kind of fun to show how to wear 1 top a few different ways!
I have owned this top for over 5 years now and still love it as much as the day I got it. And it just goes with sooo many different things, so I thought it would be the absolute best piece to showcase for this post! I am usually not a huge fan of neutrals, but in this instance it shows that sometimes neutrals are needed to pull a whole look together.
All of these outfits kind of give off a 70’s vibe and ended up having a similar color story – Which I totally didn’t even mean to do. But honestly, I think that this particular top just looks so 70’s. It’s cuffed sleeves and mock neck are reminiscent of that wonderfully stylish decade and I think that’s why I originally fell in love with this top.
I never have trouble styling this top with ANYTHING! Statement pieces are great, but it is always wonderful to have clothing items that are versatile and can be worn in a multitude of ways! Here are just 3 of the ways that this shirt can be styled:
Look 1

For my first look, I wanted to go for something simple and sweet! Since this top has lacey details it is beautiful enough to stand out on it’s own. I styled the top with a pair of high rise, cropped leg denim, some ankle strap 2” heels, and the cutest little rattan bag! This would be the perfect outfit for a sweet little picnic date or maybe even a brunch date.
Look 2

For the second look, I wanted to go a little more retro, and a little more sassy! The teal panama hat and black booties bring a little bit of edgy vibes to the otherwise feminine top and skirt combo. This look would be perfect for a night out with your girls!
Look 3

For my third look I wanted to go even more retro with this ADORABLE pinafore dress! I have used this dress in a past Fashion Friday, but I couldn’t help but showcase it again! I love it so much! And honestly, I think it looks perfect with this top! If I do say so myself. Along with the rainbow earrings and a fun pop of green in the shoes, this look is perfect for any activity! And all the colors are especially perfect for a fall outing!
