9 Months of Violett

Our big girl is officially 9 months old today! 3/4 of the way to 1 year!! I am both sooo excited because I cannot wait to watch her grow and grow but soooo sad that my littlest is no longer a baby!!!!

This month we had to “establish our dominance” with this spunky girl. Yeah, you heard that right, we had to establish our dominance with her because she was REFUSING to drink her bottles! Every time we would feed her her bottle (which she normally would love) she would drink about 2 ounces and then shove it away, arch away from it and cry! We wondered if she had an upset stomach or something, but she would eat her solids totally fine! After a couple days we got concerned and called her pediatrician’s office and they told us that she may be “establishing her dominance” and letting us know she prefers her solid foods. They suggested that we don’t feed her ANY solids until she completely finishes her bottle. So we did exactly what they said to do and it helped a bit! But it was still a fight! We happened to look at our filtered water (what we usually use for her formula) and noticed that we needed a new filter. So we changed it and after that she has been basically back to normal with her bottles! Now we think she was just being VERY particular about her water *eye roll* lol

Violett is going to be the life of the party!!! She is SO MUCH FUN!!!! She’s crazy, ornery, wild and LOUD!!!! We say she is going to be our trouble-child, but honestly, I LOVE her little wild personality so much and I hope she never changes!!! She is so spunky and full of life and it warms my heart just how excited she is about EVERYTHING!
