The day is here; our first wedding anniversary. They say time flies when you are having fun, and boy is that true! A year ago today I married my best friend and true love.
The saying goes, “a picture is worth a thousand words”. So, I am going to keep my commenting to a minimum on this post today, and just show you some of our absolute favorite photos that were taken of the happiest day of our lives.
Getting Ready
Ceremony
The Tale of the Toad
Okay, it was actually a frog… but tale of the frog doesn’t sound as catchy.
Anyhoo, before the ceremony we took a few pictures of all the bridesmaids and groomsmen (separately) outside, to save time for other group pictures after the wedding. Apparently, at some point, a little tree frog made its way up the tulle and satin layers of my dress.
We did not see the little frog AT ALL the entire time leading up to the wedding! I even had my bridesmaids help me ruffle out my dress and help me fix it just right before walking down the aisle. And no one saw the frog at all! (or we would have taken it out of my dress. Obviously. lol)
Somehow, this little guy waited right until the bridal march during the ceremony and made it’s way up my dress and decided to stop RIGHT ON MY BUTT!!!!
No one in the crowd could tell what it was, they thought it may have been a leaf or something like that, but they all knew it wasn’t supposed to be there!
A wise woman once told me, “it is not really a wedding if something doesn’t go wrong.” So, I guess this is my little “wrong” for the day. But you know what? I wouldn’t change that memory for the world. I cannot wait to tell our kids about my little “prince charming” that appeared mysteriously on my rear that day! 😂
Our Gang
Reception
We were so blessed to be able to celebrate our best day ever with all our friends and family.
Cheers to one year, and here’s to one hundred more!
