Max + Roxanne Halloween Costume

This Halloween just got a little bit GOOFIER!

To kick off the 2024 costume season, I wanted to start with something fun and nostalgic! Growing up, I absolutely LOVED the Goofy Movie! The hilarious high jinks that Goofy and Max get themselves into, the Powerline performance and the sweet love story between Max and Roxanne ❤

Max and Roxanne!! I have been thinking about dressing up as this couple for the longest time!! My husband and I *slightly* resemble them. What I mean by that is, we have the same hair colors as them… haha So I thought it would be fun to give it a go! Unfortunately, this costume idea always got pushed back because I had other costume ideas I wanted to try first and just always ran out of time each year. But the fact that my daughters are SUPER into the Goofy Movie(s) now, I knew I finally had to make it happen!! The look on my daughters face when my husband walked into the room dressed as Max, made it worth the wait for sure!! She was starstruck!

MAX

Max may be as clumsy and goofy as his Dad, but he was always the ultimate cool boy to me! I may or may not have had a weird cartoon crush on him… haha

Putting his costume together was just as simple as finding a few staple pieces, like his gloves and red short sleeved hoodie! I made his ears out of some black felt and a black hairband. We couldn’t decide if we liked the look better with or without a hat, so we took pictures with both looks! My husband has black hair naturally, so that definitely helped “sell” the look without the hat! We used some black costume paint for his nose, and that’s it!

ROXANNE

Roxanne is such a redhead icon, and being a natural redhead, I knew I just had to dress up like her one day! Her look was BEYOND simple, because I nearly owned everything already! All it consisted of was a teal top, jean shorts, a black belt, white shoes and pink earrings. The only thing I actually had to buy were the shorts! And, just like I did with my husband, I painted my nose and the little beauty mark with Halloween face paints.

I think this is such a fun, simple costume and is perfect for all those nostalgic 90’s kids out there! (cough cough… me) Cannot wait to show you all of the other costumes I am making/wearing this year! Stay tuned!
